PM Internship Scheme 2024

In this scheme, students will get to experience real-life business environment, different cities and employment opportunities for 12 months. An internship batch of Rs 5,000 per month and a one-time assistance of Rs 6,000 will also be provided.

Under this scheme, the first phase will be of 2 years, and the second and third phases will be of 3 years. Companies participating in this scheme will compete to bear 10 percent of the training cost and internship cost from their Community Social Responsibility (CSR) fund. Who will get the benefit of this scheme

The scheme is applicable only to those who are not employed or employed and have an age difference of 21 to 24 years. Companies offering internships will have to do shortlisting on the basis of objective criteria, with special focus on companies with low employability.

Who will not get benefit in this scheme

According to the indicative list shared by the government, candidates having qualifications from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IIScR), CA, CMA etc. are not eligible for internship. Those whose family members are in government jobs or are economists are also not eligible.
